Polar Year Web project

The International Polar Year (IPY) is organized every two years. A selected country with connections to the polar regions is responsible for hosting the event. The main task was to create a website for the upcoming IPY conference 2007-2008 which would take place at the Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi, outside Kiruna. In the primary phase, the site functioned as a conference site with a booking form but then became a central hub in research on the polar regions. It was our responsibility to produce the website, booking form, images and produce all the printed matter including folders, flyers, posters, banners and a table calendar. We also designed advertising material and documented the event itself, as well as technically assisted in the live broadcast on site from Jukkasjärvi.
